The International School Hilversum treats the data that you share with us with the utmost care and respect to privacy. To ensure The International School Hilversum remains compliant with the EU data protection law (General Data Protection Regulation, or “GDPR”), we are constantly reviewing and updating our privacy practices and agreements. For example, we will not use information or publish photographs, videos etc. of your son or daughter, who is under the age 16 without your permission. In the cases where a student is over 16, that permission can be granted by the students themselves. In any case, we will not ask you for data, nor store data unless it is necessary for school purposes.

As part of the start of year process, we will send out a consent form requesting the right to use photographic and video material for use on, for example via OpenApply and the school website. Even with your permission we will continue to use this data in a correct and ethical manner. The data collected will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required. You have the right to ask for data to be removed from our records and to see what data we have on your child or on you. Having said that, we do enjoy promoting the school through the achievements of the students and would love to have your cooperation to do so. We will never share your data with a third party, without your express permission.
