Dear Parents of the International School Hilversum,

The PTA of the International School Hilversum has published this PTA Guide. After living in various countries with children ourselves, we know how important good advice and suggestions in the first couple of months (at a new school/city) can be. We produced the PTA Guide to help you to adjust to your new home here as quickly as possible. It contains information, ideas and recommendations which both newcomers and established families can use. We have chosen to include listings for parents and for children of all ages.

If we have missed anything, we are sorry. This PTA Guide is only as complete as its contributors – you, our members – can make it. Please help us to update the PTA Guide for the 2024/2025 edition.

What is the PTA?

A number of parents are actively involved in the school through the Parent Teacher Association or ‘Ouderraad’. Its aim is to support the interests of the students, and their parents or guardians, and promotes contact between everyone at the International School Hilversum. The PTA organises social events and supports school activities in the school for the students, parents and teachers of the ISH, and assists families who have recently moved to the Netherlands to feel welcome and at home.
Many of us have joined the PTA because we want to be more involved with this formative period in our children’s lives, contribute to the special ISH atmosphere and meet other parents.

Coffee Mornings & Evening Drinks

Join us for a coffee morning or an evening drink to meet other parents (PYP, MYP and DP) newcomers and oldtimers. We will keep you updated on our PTA web app, the closed Facebook page and with our monthly newsletter as to when and where these will take place.
