De Otters het Gooi Swim and Water polo club is based at the Zandzee in Bussum and focuses on competitive swimming and also has a masters programme which includes open water swimming in the summer.

This is a popular field hockey club for both boys and girls in Loosdrecht, but hard to get into.

This tennisclub is situated at the Arenapark, close to school and has all-weather courts for year round access.

For those of you not in the know “sup” stands for stand up paddle boarding. ikSUP school offers certified instructors that can give private lessons, beginner and advanced courses, yoga or pilates on the sup, children’s party’s, 3 hour rentals and much much more. As an ASI accredited school you can be sure to have a fun, safe experience in a truly beautiful location. 

Located near the ISH, this dance studio is very popular with students and parents alike. They hold a wide variety of classes from toddlers to adults, such as Classical ballet, Ballroom, Street Dance, Toddler classes, Total Body Workout, Pilates, HipHop, Zumba, Steps and Modern. They also work on productions for company events, commercials and TV. 

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines music, acrobatics, dance and combat. Popular with many of our ISH students and parents Professor Urso provides classes in many locations throughout Hilversum.

Located in a beautifully renovated Church this trampoline park offers numerous activities such as free-running, parkour and jump lessons all with certified instructors so you can learn cool tricks in a safe way. They have free jump sessions to cater to all ages and are able to host children’s parties. Please see the website for more information.

Great gymnastics club is based close to the school and has a large membership including lots of ISH students. The club offers a variety of lessons both recreational and competitive. The Gooise Atletiek Club (GAC) is close to school, is very popular and offers programmes for children and adults.

Hilversum Cricket Club, the oldest cricket club in The Netherlands. They welcome players from all levels and ages, and the club coach is more than willing to help improve your skills.

Ballroom dancing for parents, adults and teens, from age 15. 

The Hilversum International Scout Group currently has an active Beaver Colony (5-7 yrs), Cub pack (7-10 yrs), a Scout troop (11-14 yrs) and Explorer scouts (15-17 yrs). They have a fun & varied program and regularly organise fun events and camps. They welcome cubs & scouts from other countries as well as new members. The scout group would love to see more parents involved.

Hilversum has a wonderful little grass airfield where both gliding and motorised flight are available. Scenic flights are offered in small planes and helicopters. The gliding club can be joined from the age of 14.The airfield also has a nice restaurant with a great view over the airfield
